Endocrine System

The Endocrine System is a series of ductless glands that secret hormones directly into the blood. These hormones target specfic organs and help the body to maintain homeostasis

  • Endocrine, Nutritional, and Metabolic Disease (E00 - E89)

Musculoskeletal System

Osteology is the branch of anatomy that deals with the detail analysis of structure, function, and diseases of the skeletal elements. It constitutes the bony structure of the body.

  • Disease of the Musculoskeletal and Connective Tissue (M00- M99)

Integumentary System

The Integumentary System is composed of the common integument (or skin) and its appendages. The skin covers the body and proves to be an effective barrier to most harmful chemicals that can cause damage to our internal body system.

  • Disease of the Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue (L00 - L99)

Respiratory System

The respiratory system, or respiratory tract, is responsible for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between the air we breathe and blood. It can be divided into the upper anbd lower respiratory tracts. The upper tract consists of the nose, nasal cavity, sinuses, larynx, and trachea, and the lower tract consist of the bronchi and the lungs.

  • Disease of the Respiratory System (J00- J99)

Circulatory System

The Circulatory System is the human vascular system comprises a series of tubes (i.e., vessels) that travel in almost all parts of the human body. It is categorized into the blood vascular system and the lymphatiuc vascular system.

  • Diseasae of the Circulatory System (I00 - I99)

Digestive System

The digestive system, or digestive tract, is responsible for breaking food down into nutrients that can be readily absorbed into the bloodstream. The diigestive tract begins at the mouth and ends at the anus. Many accessory glands suppor the digestive tract and secrete enyzmes for digestion.

  • Disease of the Digestive System (K00- K95)

Genitourinary System

The male reproductive system includes the external genitalia, and accessory ducts and glands, that function to procreate offspring.

  • Disease of the Genitourinary System (N00 - N99)

Female Reproductive System

The female reproductive system includes the external genitalia, and acessory glands, that function to procreate offspring.

  • Disease of the Female Reproductive System (O00- O9A)

Eye and Ocular Adnexa, Auditory System

Eyes are regarded as organs of sight. The eyelids and eye lashes serve to protect the eyes from foreign objects. Blinking of the eyelids lubricates the surface of the ey by spreading tears that are produced by the lacrimal gland. The external, inner, and middle ear contain the organs of hearing and balance.
